Blending together my interests in music, cars, as well as the built and natural environment with my professional aspirations of becoming an architect, I wanted to construct with my senior project a piece of my universe and take you on a drive through it. This series of three drawings - with a poem attached to each of them - explores through creating a car model some themes derived from my own experience, all dwelling in the span of my interests and identity.
My Zone aims at capturing my state of mind when it comes to many situations in life like working towards my ambitions or apprehending any type encounter in life, whether good or bad.
Stamina explores the importance of equipping myself with a various set of skills both to help me chase these dreams but also to keep soaring in the middle of a storm.
Spleen introduces one of my happy places, where music notes and the scenery help soothe my uncertainties along the way.
This project was rendered in the context of architecture, without designing built structures but with a prototype approach to car conception. Lastly, these poems allowed me to put words on what charcoal pencils could not draw, and to feel more versatile.
